One of a kind projects from Tesla Owner- Elon Musk to construction a Tunnel for its employees to travel to Parking Area, 2.1 Miles away. This project consists of signal lane Tunnel under the existing City Street, 120th Street in City of Hawthorne. This is a Pilot project for Elon Musk to construct tunnel with innovating construction techniques and methods. The AMC Inc. was hired by the City of Hawthorne to provide project management, safety inspection and Geotech investigation/inspection. Elon Musk’s Boring Company performed a superb task to construct tunnel with no street settlement, no safety issue and finished in record less than 8 months time. The Safety Inspector also inspected the precast concrete panels construction for the tunnel. The City Inspector and AMC Geotech Engineer monitored the preset settlement sensors to measure 120th Street settlement or any adjoining settlement for Hawthorne Airport property.
